TOP 5 Best Buffets in Walt Disney World

Making reservations for Disney dining can be stressful, and with so many buffets, you may not be sure where to go. I’ve dined at a whopping 6 buffets in Disney World and these are my personal top 5 for value and overall dining experience.

5. Casey’s Corner at Magic Kingdom

This buffet isn’t a complete homerun, and admittedly it’s not the best, or even second best in Magic Kingdom. But this small buffet in a baseball-themed setting does pack a powerful lineup of jalapeños, relish, onions, and sauerkraut, along with some tempting sauces. The onions and jalapeños were delicious – and I certainly had my fill – but I felt like I could have used just a little bit more. Actually, this whole setup seems tailor-made for a sausage or even a hotdog (Sometimes I think I should be an imagineer!). I usually come here for lunch when I’m looking to eat a little lighter.

4. Regal Eagle Smokehouse at Epcot

This all new sauce-only buffet features 5 dips. I have heard of liquid diets and while I do understand the benefit, my body is not trained for such a meal. Despite enjoying the dips, I was still very hungry afterwards, which should never happen at a buffet! The best sauce of the bunch was Sizzlin Pit’ Dry Rub, which seemed to not be a dry rub at all but, yet again, another liquid. I also enjoyed the Blue Ribbon Brisket Sauce, but I’m not a huge fan of mustard or vinegar so those were passes for me. Small paper cups are provided but I found it to be a pain to keep going back up for seconds, so I would recommend just filling up a water bottle or asking for a soda cup. I did see people dipping in their fingers and licking directly from there, but I would grab a straw or some silverware from behind the counter. Yes, these are drinkable, but I would not recommend drinking from the spout unless you have a change of shirt.

3. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe at Magic Kingdom

I had to check this place out because I hear so many people raving about it. I loved that the chef is right behind the buffet counter preparing everything fresh! This was a great healthier option. The iceberg lettuce was so ripe and perfectly chopped. I’ll admit, I ended up being a little bad and adding ranch on top of my meal, but calories don’t count in Disney! Honestly, the buffet was great, but the best part about this place was probably the bathroom!

2. Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe at Magic Kingdom

This is the third Magic Kingdom buffet on my list, and the best of the bunch! Can you say yummy! Conveniently, paper trays are provided so you don’t have to eat directly from the tongs like some other locations apparently want you to. I like to use corn as a base for all of the other toppings. The salsa is a little too spicy for me, but my fiancé loves it, so I save that for him! My favorite dish was the shredded cheese; it’s a nice sharp cheddar and I swear to you it’s even better than Sargento.

1. Restaurantosaurus at Animal Kingdom

This buffet is deluxe with a capital D. It’s billed as a premium buffet, and it does not disappoint. I absolutely love making open face fajitas here with the sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms. Restaurantosaurus boasts 2 types of pickles — dill or bread and butter—are you kidding me!? You can even choose from iceberg or arugula, along with a host of other great items, headlined by banana peppers. I’m ashamed to say just how many plates I filled up here. Let’s just say I took the long way back to my table.
