Man Found Living off the Land on Living with the Land

Maintenance worker’s biggest fears came to life on Monday when a man was discovered living off the land on popular Epcot attraction Living with the Land.

Tucked deep amongst the vegetation of Epcot Land Pavilion’s attraction about the future of sustainability, maintenance workers discovered Ocala man, Kyle Strickland’s makeshift home somewhere between the coffee and papaya plants.

“I was actually pretty impressed,” Land Pavilion’s Chief of Maintenance, Paul Landry told DisDumps. “He had a great set up: a nice tent with a cot, a small fire pit, a reclining camp chair, and a nearly endless supply of fresh fruit and vegetables. He even made himself a makeshift commode next to a large aloe plant. (EDITORS NOTE: DisDumps is in discussion with The Land Pavilion’s property manager to review this bathroom. Stay tuned.) With how well camouflaged into our ecosystem he was, it’s no surprise he spent months here without detection. He truly was…Living with the Land.”

Strickland was processed by Orange County police and taken to a local precinct where he is being held on a $250,000 bond. Strickland is charged with criminal trespassing, unauthorized camping, and several hundred counts of grand theft produce. Through his lawyers, Strickland declined to comment. “Living off the land on Living with the Land,” Landry pondered, “I thought I’d seen it all. This job is always full of surprises. I shudder to think about what’s hiding in Spaceship Earth.”

At this time, riders with a keen eye can still get a glimpse of Mr. Strickland’s makeshift home, but we’re told by park insiders that the maintenance team will soon be disassembling.
